what I have become and my mother who has left all the people she grew up with,
including her real brothers and sisters, even says that she doesn’t care for anyone
except me.

I am lucky that I got an understanding husband, lovely daughters, supportive brother
and great parents. But somewhere I feel that because I chose to tell them the truth,
my parents have now lost all the relatives. Do I feel guilty? Sometimes. But I would
not change anything I did or anything that my parents did. Mom, dad, I am proud
of you and I love you.

I was abused by my father for several years and I struggled to come out of it. I had

to give up my passions and my mom never believed me. I had a school teacher who
supported me but later, she went into depression and couldn’t help me. Life was a
total mess. I then took psychiatric help as well.

Today, I am a doctor with a nice guy by my side. I won’t say I have totally healed
but life is good. For victims and survivors out there, life is a package of dificulties
but just try adding a bit of love to your life because it is really beautiful. It gives you
strength to face everything and succeed.
